December Coming In HOT!

Dec20.jpg

Hello fellow holiday revelers!

Peace on Earth. Goodwill towards men. December is a month full of holidays – from different religions and beliefs, but with a commonality.

Christmas at its core, of course, is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. God sent his son to teach humanity about love, kindness, tolerance, serving others, living a life of meaning and purpose.

Hannukah, the Festival of Lights, reminds us that a small band of faithful can defeat the mightiest army to reclaim what is sacred to us.

Kwanzaa, a week of feasting, gift giving and activities is founded on the 7 principles of unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose and faith.

Yule and Winter Solstice, older pagan holidays, rejoice the wheel of the year and the return of the sun after the shortest day. Gathering together to feast, dance, and tell stories around bonfires and Yule logs to banish darkness and bring luck to the new year.

Having a rousing good time and enjoying each other’s company, while coming together with common purpose of taking care of each other and planning a brighter future for all - this is the core theme of our winter holidays.

Sounds pretty good to me. How about you? To close out this strange and chaotic year, let’s follow the traditions of the ages, look for the shining pearls of wisdom in the darkness, find the glue that binds us together, and head into the new year together with joy and purpose.

ONE MORE WINTER SCENT - VANILLA WOOD

This was a seasonal scent for Winter 2019, and in an effort to keep my supply cabinet tidy, I made an extra batch this year to use up the last little bits of fragrance. If you loved that one - grab it quick! There is a very limited supply.

A rich, warm, blend of deep, dark vanilla bourbon with soft golden teak and sandalwood. This fragrance is in the Frankincense family, but smoother, creamier, and truly elegantly gorgeous. The color is a light walnut brown, tinged with real vanilla bean powder.

NEW SWEDISH DISH CLOTH PATTERNS FOR THE HOLIDAYS

I know I’ve blabbed a lot about these super eco friendly, super cute, AND super efficient dish cloths/cleaning cloths a lot. So I won’t repeat all that. (If you haven’t heard the spiel, click here.) Anyhoo, I’ve stocked a few more charming designs that are specifically winter and holiday themed. Did I mention they make amazing gifts? For the person that has everything? The thrifty one? The Earth warrior? The one who decorates everything?

NEW WOODEN SOAP DISHES

If you’ve been following along, you know I’ve struggled to keep the wooden soap dishes in stock. The ones that I’ve carried for years are (hopefully temporarily) lost to the ravages of tariffs and supply chain disruptions. I have 3 new styles in the meantime which just arrived. Same hard, durable beechwood, little different look, same price, also fit my bars and keep your soap dry to last longer. Need a new soap dish?

NEW BATHTUB SOAP DISH SETS

New! Adorable bathtub shaped soap dishes in a new gift set. Contains one dish, plus a soap bar of your choice and a scrubby soap mitt ($19.95 for set). The dish comes in 4 colors: white, yellow, grey and green.

I got my hands on just a limited supply of these, so when they are gone, they are gone.

The little claw foot tub is powder coated metal with 3 drainage holes in the bottom to keep your fancy soap high and dry. Who doesn’t want one of these sitting next to their sink, or in the charming bathtub ledge display, haha – we’ve all got one of those, right?

Fa la la la la . . . have yourself a cool yule.
