Hello Friends,
I am completely smitten with the contrast of winter – the quiet stillness of the natural season as the backdrop for the revelry of the holiday season, and how they weave together, creating balance and more space to play in the best of all worlds.
The hush of an overnight snowfall, the lengthening darkness, plants and animals in hibernation remind the very cells of our beings to slow down and rest deeply. At the same time, our calendar of celebrations tumble together, one after another, inspiring a flurry of cooking, decorating, and partying with friends and family. It’s a whirlwind of activity that can only be sustained with the promise of a long nap later.
The anticipation of the next couple of months, every bit of it, from cozy evenings in front of the fire, to snowy outdoor adventures, all of the shopping madness, and the sumptuous delicious feasting, to the tooting horns on New Year’s Eve – it’s a dance of pleasures, tip-toeing on the edges of extremes . . . and pure delight.

CHRISTMAS CHEER - If you could wrap up Christmas morning in a bar of soap, this would be it – all the holly jolly in one little package. The bright red color is a nod to Santa’s suit. And the fragrance is a bright, joyful blend of zesty orange, sweet brandied pear, spicy cloves, nutmeg and juniper berries. It’s a celebration of everything that makes the season merry and bright – cozy, cheerful and festive.
SNOW ANGEL - Oh the joy of rushing outside to a fresh blanket of snow and throwing yourself into it, waving arms and legs to create your “angel” and then trying to get up without falling over and turning it into a polar bear belly flop. This fragrance blends tingly peppermint and sweet spearmint with the cozy warmth of holiday spices. It’s fresh and playful, a pocket full of sweet treats and rosy cheeks – a little cool, a little cozy, and altogether enchanting.
SPICED ROSE - I can’t resist the guilty pleasure of a Hallmark Christmas romance movie to melt away the stress of a rough work day. The holiday decorations in everybody’s houses are bananas over-the-top and yet I still want the elves to magically transform my humble abode with a mountain of garlands, trees in each room, fairy lights all over, and gorgeous floral arrangements on every table. If there was ‘smell-ivision’ Spiced Rose would be the most elegant, romantic holiday home ever. Lush floral garlands studded with red roses, the rich warmth of amber and soft woods, a whisper of clove, a sprinkle of bright orange zest, all swirled in a creamy vanilla orchid. It’s the most sophisticated, dreamy festive décor, glowing with candles, wrapped in cashmere.
THROUGH THE WOODS – “Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother’s house we go . . . “ This scent is a sleighride of fresh evergreens. Balsam, spruce, juniper, and fir needles blend with warm, soft woods and a hint of incense, evoking cozy cabins, glowing hearths, and the splendor of the winter forest. It’s a beautiful reminder of the season’s peace and stillness for your morning shower.
WINTER SEA – Waves crash against the shore and gusty winds mist your face with salty spray as you trudge the chilly solitude of the beach in winter. This scent is a coastal storm of sea salt air, ocean spray, misted cypress branches, and sun-bleached driftwood - the wild, untamed beauty of nature at its most powerful and free. However, sitting quietly in your soap dish or gently lathering in your shower, it’s the ultimate sensation of fresh and clean.
Our popular mini soap sets have delightful new scents for the holiday season. This season we are donating half the proceeds of these sets to World Central Kitchen. Its primary mission is to provide food relief and support to communities affected by disasters and humanitarian crises around the world. They are one of the first helpers to show up to any tragedy bringing hot meals and essential supplies - from floods and hurricanes, to the wars in Ukraine and Gaza. Their organization helps local communities build their own response teams and infrastructure for the future as well. WCK is more than a charity, they are the very best of humanity.
