Floating Through August

Drifting towards the finish line of summer . . .

Hello clean, good-smelling people!

We're having a heatwave, a tropical heatwave . . . 🎶 Every part of the world is breaking heat records again this summer. It's hot hot hot. How are you keeping cool with just one more month of summer to go?

With extra showers, more dips in the pool or jumps in the lake, getting wet is hands down the best way to cool down. But to keep your skin healthy and clean, the soap you choose to use definitely matters. Handmade soap is king (queen?) when it comes to sudsing up, and with a nice shot of shea butter in our bars, the suds are creamy dreamy, the scents are all kinds of beautiful, and you never have to worry if your skin is going to get dry, itchy and flaky just from showering.

LAST CALL FOR SUMMER SEASONAL SOAPS

Which brings me to the next point - if you've fallen in love with one of our summer scents, you might want to grab the last few bars left this year. We've got just a little bit left in stock and then it's onto something new. Beach House, Cucumber Mint, Watermelon Sugar and Tomato Basil are still available and refreshing as can be for warm weather soaping.

The Sunflower Fields is sold out for now, but we were able to give a couple of really great donations to Global Giving for their Ukraine Fund. Thank you all for helping me make that happen!

BACK IN STOCK - PUMICE SOAP

If you don't know the back story about this one: a local car tinkering, wood-worker guy contacted me wondering about a pumice soap, something that would truly scrub off the greasy dirt of working with his hands. We collaborated on a couple of experiments and came up with this amazing Pumice Soap. Game changer. This soap has a bucket load of pumice sand in it, which feels sandy, but not sand-papery. It definitely exfoliates but with a really soft touch. The lather is rich and creamy, and the scent is herbal fresh - a mix of mint and spices and a touch of citrus to brighten it up. It's not just for handy guys, but crafters and gardeners too, anybody looking for something to soften their summer-sandal rough heels and feet, even foodies in the kitchen - so that's pretty much everybody, right?

I'm making batches of this one semi-regularly, but it's not on the regular menu yet. Let me know if you think it should be? Mostly I'm keeping it around because I can't live without it myself, lol.

AUTUMN ON THE WAY

Oh my gosh, are we actually wishing for fall to come sooner this year? No, that would be crazy. I mean is anybody really ready for the rain again? (*whispers* ahem, me)

No matter what else is headed our way this fall, Mother Nature will be doing what she always does this time of year - with gorgeous fall colors, nippy evenings, and rain showers, reminding us that seasons change, life goes on, and everything comes full circle.

I'm so excited to share my new fall soap scents with you, but they are under wraps for a few more weeks. Check your inbox (or Facebook or Instagram) at the beginning of September for my Autumn Newsletter.

Be well, stay safe, and keep cool out there!
