April Showers - We've got soap for that! Plus 25% off site wide this week!

Hello hello!

The quote "April showers bring May flowers" doesn't work without a little sunshine. The warmth of a few sunny days even if it's scattered in between rain storms or blustery winds, is the magic that flips the switch on Mother Nature. Trees leaf out, buds pop, flowers bloom, little patches of life spring up all over the place like fairies have sprinkled their dust while skipping around the garden. It happens every single year at this time and it's important to notice with all the awe and wonder as if it's the first time.

I've been reading about everyday awe and how squeezing in a short walk outside, taking in the beauty of nature, spending a few minutes of focus on the beauty of the world around you can transform your life - mentally, physically, even socially. Our stressed out nervous systems need a break from all the noise. And what's truly amazing is that the solution is just outside the window, sitting right under our noses, beckoning us with beautiful smells and pretty flowers. Spring is a magnificent reminder that the universe is a glorious place that we are intimately connected to. Go forth and breathe deeply.

LAST CALL FOR SPRING SOAP

Catch the newest spring seasonal scents before they're gone! Petal + Blossom, Spring Rain, Sweet Dreams, and Wildflower + Fern are all in stock waiting to add a little flower power to your April showers (and sinks and baths). Fresh and pretty, they're on the menu for just another month, fading away as we splash into summer. If one of those tickled your fancy, hoard a few now.

Also LAST CALL for all the sample scent soaps I had on sale last month. I have just a handful left of the Exotic Coconut, Bewitched Orchid, and Almond Milk + Cardamom. These were one-offs and when they are gone, they are truly gone.

SUMMER ON THE WAY

Scheduling note: the first of May is when I announce my summer menu. I've got some beautiful new summery soaps coming your way. Hold onto your hats, it's right around the corner. Make a note to check your inbox for all the news.

I've spent the last couple of weeks mulching and spring cleaning my garden. So much new life! And the citrus trees are about to pop which brings the most delicious smells - I'm waiting breathlessly.

Amidst all the chaos, frightening news, and nail-biting anxiety, the gentle reminder that life continues along at a steady and constant pace, cycling through beautiful sunrises, gorgeous sunsets, circling back to another season of spring gives me a sense of calm and greater perspective. Everything will turn out ok.

"Kindnesscovers all of my political beliefs. No need to spell them out. I believe that if, at the end, according to our abilities, we have done something to make others a little happier, and something to make ourselves a little happier, that is about the best we can do. To make others less happy is a crime. To make ourselves unhappy is where all crime starts. We must try to contribute joy to the world. That is true no matter what our problems, our health, our circumstances. We must try. I didn’t always know this and am happy I lived long enough to find it out.
