Wanna smell wicked good?

Greetings Earthlings,

Ghosties and witches and zombies, oh my! Time to string up the Halloween decorations and get the spooky snacks ready for the horror movie marathons. Ok, to be honest, I can't actually watch the scary stuff. I'll stick to Halloweentown, Tim Burton or Hocus Pocus. I even chicken out on Stranger Things and Sabrina, lol. They give me nightmares.

I love this time of year though, with the return to cooler weather, rainy afternoons, snuggly sweaters and slow cooked food. This month is autumn at its very best and I'm all in.

DON'T MISS OUR FALL SEASONAL MENU

My favorite part of this soap business is creating the seasonal fragrances. The entire process, from idea, to scent and color experiments, to all the new smells curing in my studio - it still makes me happy, even all these years in.

What I hope that means for you? Grabbing a new soap for the shower doesn't have to be a boring chore. It can be an indulgent treat, a gentle reminder of the good things in life, and a moment to savor the beauty of exactly where we are in the natural order of things.

The new fall menu captures some of the best smells of the season: Cranberry Apple Marmalade, Campfire + Cedar, Zanzibar Cinnamon, and Red Rose Spice. Cozy, spicy, warm - we could all use a soft hug in the hot shower on a brisk, nippy morning.

NEW FOR OCTOBER: PUMPKIN CARDAMOM SOAP

I mean, it's Pumpkin Spice month, right? How could I suds through October without a pumpkin soap? This one has real organic pumpkin puree in the recipe which honestly has beautiful moisturizing benefits and skin nourishing vitamins in the luxurious lather. The scent is gorgeous pumpkin pie, rich spices (extra cardamom, yum!) brown sugar, notes of caramel, and soft blonde woods at the base to balance out the sweetness and give it all the fall feels. I think this year's blend is the best one ever, but maybe that's just me?

SUMMER SOAP SALE

I've still got a small-ish stash of summer menu soaps in the studio and I need to make room for all the holiday incoming. Beach House, Tomato Basil and Watermelon Sugar are on rock bottom sale price until they are gone. $4 each. Yes, you read that right. $4.

NAIL BRUSHES ON SALE TOO

It's fall garden clean up time. Raking leaves, turning over the beds, pruning - after the long, hot, DRY summer, my garden needs some tender care before it goes to sleep for the winter. I'll be making good use of the nail brushes for the next month. Do you need to replace yours too? I've put them on sale this month, both styles, just $3 each. Might be a good idea to stock up for next spring too. It's never a bad idea to have some really great nail brushes on hand.

NEW GIFT ITEMS

In case you haven't traveled over to the "Gifts" page lately, I've added some really nice little containers stuffed with soaps and accessories and all the things. There is a handy little Dopp bag (travel style zip- around pouch) in a recycled grey canvas which holds a couple bars of soap, a dish plus a scrubby mitt and a tin of healing salve - pretty much everything you'd want to take with you on an adventure ($30). I now carry it in a water-resistant tan canvas also.

And I've added a white cardboard gift box that holds 3 bars of soap stacked inside, tied with a pretty glittery blue-green ribbon. I know some of you are holiday shopping early, so I just wanted to give you a heads up on these. You can order from afar and have it delivered to friends or family all tied up with a bow and ready to go. Or ship to yourself too and skip the gift wrapping chores.

Trick or treat. Smell my feet . . . ewww gross! . . . better wash them up with something sweet!
